Keep Girls in School: Support Sanitary Pads for Okwira Primary School

In West Budama District, Uganda, 15% of schoolgirls miss school each month due to lack of access to sanitary pads. After a two-year pandemic-related school closure, girls are now reaching puberty before middle school—making this issue even more urgent.
Villagetocollege, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is seeking $7,500 to provide sanitary pads for 250 girls at Okwira Primary School for the next School Year, which begins on February 9th., 2026.
- Families in West Budama live on less than $1/day
- It costs $3/month to provide pads for one girl
- Absences lead to:
- Lower academic performance
- Increased stress and reduced motivation
- Weakened social and emotional development
Your support will help girls stay in school, thrive academically, and build a brighter future.
